Sequoia is located on the Georgetown Waterfront.
The inside it very elegant and has strings of white lights and blue glass flowers.
The dining room has large windows to look out over the Potomac. There is also out door seating as well as a few bars closer to the water.
We all started with a dozen oysters from Sequoia’s magnificent raw bar. (Jordan and I were tempted to get the “Roosevelt Island Tower”- which is very similar to Blue Pointe Grille’s seafood tower that we tried about a month ago!
Meredith and I shared a couple appetizers for our Entrée. We each ordered the summer greens salad and then shared the Spicy Tuna Tartar and the Duck and Pinenut Dumplings. All were delicious. I unfortunately do not have pictures of our meal to share!
Jordan ordered the Seafood Cioppino which consisted of clams, fin fish, scallops, mussels, shrimp, lobster, corn on the cob, potato, in a tomato fennel orange broth.
Unfortunately the broth splattered all over Jordan’s shirt. The waiter was extremely attentive and brought Jordan steamed water and club soda immediately- So quickly that it seemed like something like this happens a little too often!!
At the end of the night we went back to Meredith’s apartment to hang out and have a few drinks on the rooftop and over look DC.
Here is a view of the water front from a bicycle cab ride taking us there for a rive monument tour!
